Setter

The setter in volleybal is capable setting the second ball perfectly for the players who are attacking. When they are unable to set the second ball, they must call for help so that another player would be able to set it for them. A setter is known to be the hardest postition in volleyball for they need to fully understand how each of the hitters make contact with the ball when they hit.

Libero

The libero in volleybal is the beset defensive player and performs as a back row player. A libero is not allowed to serve and block and they wear different uniforms.

Outside Hitter

An outside hitter is a player which blocks and hits the ball on the front left side on the court. They must be able to spike the ball that the setter sets for them throughout the game.

Rightside Hitter

Right side hitters must have a good balance between offensive skill and defensive skill. They are able to hit the ball that the setter hits and play front row and back row.

Middle Blocker

A middle blocker should be able to read the direction of the hits given by the opposing team and should attempt to block the ball. Middle blockers are also known to be the tallest or one of the tallest players on the team.

Basic Facts About Volleyball

Volleyball is a sport that has 6 players on each team. In total, there would be 12 players on a court. Each side may get 3 touches and they would have to get the ball over the net no matter what on the last touch. However, if a team fails to get the ball over the net, the team would go to the opposting team.
